you must be able to answer yes to all of the following
- The
property is maintained in a good state of repair.
- The
property is of standard construction, i.e. built of brick, stone or
concrete with a slate or tiled roof.
- The property is secure and
good quality mortice locks are fitted to all external doors.
- The
property will not be left unoccupied for more than 30 consecutive days
in one year.
- The
property is used for residential purposes.
- The
property is located in an area free from flooding, subsidence, heave
and landslip, coastal or river erosion.
- The buildings will be insured
for an amount equal to the reinstatement cost unless you specify a higher
amount.
- You
have not had a proposal for insurance declined, renewal refused, cover
terminated or special terms imposed by any insurer.
- You
have not ever been convicted or have any prosecutions pending for any
criminal offence.
- You
have been claims free for the past five years.
